In a Montreal hotel in 1948 the Atlantic Salmon Association was born. The name changed to Atlantic Salmon Federation in 1981, after merging with the International Atlantic Salmon Foundation, but the mission is consistent: conserve and restore wild salmon and wild rivers.

To celebrate ASF’s 75th, we will be featuring past projects, old media, and funky tidbits throughout 2023. We’ll also do some giveaways on our social media channels, starting soon with the chance to win a 75th anniversary ASF hat.

ASF’s 75th anniversary logo was created by our marketing manager Peter Dore. He went back to the first issues of the Atlantic Salmon Journal for inspiration and found what he was looking for – something simple, elegant and symbolic.
