Overview: A full-time position reporting to the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing, the campaign director is an experienced professional who will help conceive and design advocacy and awareness campaigns and lead their implementation.

Responsibilities and Duties: The incumbent will work with ASF colleagues, partners organizations, and other NGOs to identify advocacy opportunities that can lead to positive change for wild Atlantic salmon. They will then develop and implement smart campaigns to achieve stated goals. The incumbent will cultivate and maintain strong collaborative relationships with other individuals and organizations. The successful candidate will act as a spokesperson and representative for ASF.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The campaign director will have current understanding of issues affecting wild Atlantic salmon, as well as knowledge of policy, regulatory, and legislative processes. General awareness of conservation and environment issues is also required.

A demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and activate partners and volunteers is required, along with knowledge of campaign design, execution, and reporting. The ability to navigate diverse relationships and focus group energy is essential. Frequent travel may be required, and French-English bilingualism is considered a strong asset.

Education and Experience: The skills required for this position would normally be acquired through completion of a post-secondary degree and professional experience. Other combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Benefits of working at ASF: ASF offers a competitive benefits package including RRSP contributions, paid vacation, sick leave, and health insurance. The current salary range for the position is $58,900 to $79,700. New hires would normally start at the low end of the salary range, dependent on education and experience.

Location: The campaign director can be located anywhere in Atlantic Canada or Quebec.
