Louie Porta a leading Canadian environmentalist and life-long wilderness explorer. He serves as the President and CEO of the Atlantic Salmon Federation. Previously, Louie was the founding Executive Director of Oceans North. Under his leadership Oceans North became Canada’s foremost ocean focused charity – helping to secure some of world’s largest ocean conservation areas.

Louie represents Canada at the Commission for Environmental Cooperation, reflecting his commitment to international environmental collaboration. He serves on board of directors of The Rideau Hall Foundation, the Governing Council of the Ocean Tracking Network, the board of directors of Oceans North Kalaallit Nunaat, and is a longtime senior Advisor to the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Canada’s first Indigenous Governor General.

Louie is a high energy, high impact leader known for his collaborative, partnership based approach, and ability to build bridges across all aspects of society.

Bill Taylor of St. Andrews, N.B., is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Atlantic Salmon Federation. Mr. Taylor joined the staff of ASF in 1988, serving as Manager of Regional Programs, Director of Communications, Executive Director of Public Policy and in 1995 was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. He has served on several regional, national and international conservation boards and committees including Canada’s Atlantic Salmon Advisory Committee and as an NGO representative to the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization. In 2015 he co-chaired the Minister’s Advisory Committee on Wild Atlantic Salmon in Eastern Canada. He has received several awards in recognition of his work in Atlantic salmon conservation, among them the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Mr. Taylor graduated from Acadia University in 1983.

Don Calder retired as Chairman of Clear Harbor Asset Management 2020. Prior to joining Clear Harbor he was President of G. L. Ohrstrom & Co., Inc. where he worked since 1965. He was active in the acquisition and management of various Ohrstrom related companies and was Chairman or CEO of Dorset Corporation, Valentine Pulp and Paper, Flexi-Mat Corp., Tritex Corp, VIP Corp., Symmetry Medical, Harrow Corp., Leach Corp., and Florida Heat Pump. He is a Director of Central Securities Corporation and a retired Director of Brown Forman, Carlisle Companies and Roper Technologies, all New York Stock Exchanges Companies. He is a graduate of Princeton University and The Harvard Business School and served in the U.S. Navy. He is a Director of the Atlantic Salmon Federation (US), The National Sporting Library and Museum (Middleburg, Va.) and the American Skin Association. He lives in Hobe Sound, Florida and spends summers in Southhampton, New York and fishes with his wife, the former Ann Martin, in Canada, Russia, Iceland, Scotland, Argentina, Florida and The Bahamas.

Mark is an American and British citizen born and raised in New York City. He is a passionate angler who has been fly fishing for Pacific Steelhead and Atlantic Salmon for nearly 30 years. He worked in investment banking and equity capital markets for 25 years with Morgan Stanley, Bear Stearns, and Bloomberg L.P. before founding his own financial consulting business, Alta Capital LLC. His postings have extended to London (twice), Japan and Hong Kong before settling back in the U.S. On winter weekends he coaches ski racing at Catamount Ski Club, and serves on the board of the Tri-State Alpine Ski Racing Association. He is the Treasurer and Secretary of his building Cooperative, and a Director of Tombill Mines Ltd., a Canadian listed gold exploration company. He graduated from Harvard College with a B.A., magna cum laude, and received a M.B.A from Harvard Business School.

John Cornell is a retired partner, Jones Day, New York, NY, an international law firm with more than 2400 lawyers in 40 locations. Member of Maine and New York Bars and the Maine Bar Association. Lead author, Colliers, Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation in Bankruptcy, Second Edition, 2010. Trustee, Colby College, 1997 – 2003; Trustee Emeritus 2003 – present; Overseer, Colby College, 1993-1997; Chair, Colby College Alumni Association and President of the Colby College Alumni Council, 1979-1982; President, Colby Club of Portland, Maine, 1976-1979. Anglers’ Club of New York, member 1997 – present, Board of Directors, 2010-2013, Membership Committee.

Eric Roberts co-founded Valence Advantage Life Sciences and the Caxton Advantage Life Sciences Fund. Mr. Roberts has 37 years of experience in the investment banking and private equity industries. He was Managing Director and Co-Head of the Global Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Lehman Brothers. Previously, he was a Managing Director, Partner and founder of the Life Sciences Department at Dillon, Read & Co. Inc. Mr. Roberts worked at Citicorp in the Mergers and Acquisitions and Citicorp Venture Capital (CVC) group before joining Dillon Read. Mr. Roberts received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of CalciMedica Inc. and is a former board member of several public and private companies.  He is also a board member of the Dutchess Land Conservancy and former Trustee of the American Museum of Fly Fishing and the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies.
