Donald Calder

Don Calder retired as Chairman of Clear Harbor Asset Management 2020. Prior to joining Clear Harbor he was President of G. L. Ohrstrom & Co., Inc. where he worked since 1965. He was active in the acquisition and management of various Ohrstrom related companies and was Chairman or CEO of Dorset Corporation, Valentine Pulp and Paper, Flexi-Mat Corp., Tritex Corp, VIP Corp., Symmetry Medical, Harrow Corp., Leach Corp., and Florida Heat Pump. He is a Director of Central Securities Corporation and a retired Director of Brown Forman, Carlisle Companies and Roper Technologies, all New York Stock Exchanges Companies. He is a graduate of Princeton University and The Harvard Business School and served in the U.S. Navy. He is a Director of the Atlantic Salmon Federation (US), The National Sporting Library and Museum (Middleburg, Va.) and the American Skin Association. He lives in Hobe Sound, Florida and spends summers in Southhampton, New York and fishes with his wife, the former Ann Martin, in Canada, Russia, Iceland, Scotland, Argentina, Florida and The Bahamas.
