The Province of Newfoundland and Labrador has released in late November the results of its Live Release studies.
Both a summary and full report can be downloaded on their site. Most important, they found survival in water temperatures of 21 C or less was 96 per cent. They also noted that using cotton gloves to handle the fish caused wounds on the Atlantic salmon.
