| Fish Friends is a highly acclaimed school program with an inspiring and adaptable curriculum geared to Grade 4, 5, and 6 students. The Atlantic Salmon Federation developed it for use in both Canada and the United States. The program gives both children and adults the opportunity to explore the world of the wild Atlantic salmon; a species that needs clean rivers and streams to survive, and that migrates hundreds of miles or more to sea. Become a Fish Friends Volunteer - Fish Friends relies on volunteers to make the program happen. Volunteers from Connecticut to Newfoundland assist in classrooms, help deliver eggs, and help students and teachers have a great time when they release their fry into the appropriate streams
- New volunteers are needed. Are you interested, or know someone who might be? There is support for volunteers with a new Volunteer Primer that helps individuals understand the program and how they can help it happen. Available in English and Francais
