Leif M. Burge - Assessment of side channel habitat and fish community structure, Little Southwest Miramichi River, New Brunswick
Year: 1999

Side channels appear to be important over-wintering habitat for kelts (Cunjak pers. com. 1999) and may also be important habitat for sea run brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis). This research will increase the knowledge of habitat diversity within this river type and will thereby improve habitat management within these rivers.
