Cooke Aquaculture Pleads Guilty on Illegal Use of Pesticide

Kelly Cove Salmon, subsidiary of Cooke Aquaculture, pled guilty in New Brunswick Court in St. Stephen NB to two counts of using an illegal chemical, cypermethrin. The company will pay a total of $500,000 as a result. The use of the chemical was at 15 salmon cage sites, according to the document of agreed facts.
